June 5 – War Eagle Movie Night with Beaver Watershed Alliance, Northwest Arkansas Land Trust & partners!

When: June 5 from 6-7pm

Location: Basham Community Center in Downtown Huntsville

Overview: Free Event! Join us for a free family-friendly movie night to watch two local conservation films on Friday, June 5th from 6 – 7 p.m. at the Basham Community Center in Downtown Huntsville! The Alliance, Northwest Arkansas Land Trust, and community partners will be showing free film screenings of “Bridge to War Eagle” and “One Acre at a Time” to kick off the annual War Eagle Appreciation Day festivities! Free snacks will be provided. Both films celebrate War Eagle Creek and the people and conservation organizations that support a healthy watershed!

June 6 – War Eagle Appreciation Day with NWA Organizations

When: June 6, 2026 from 11am-1pm

Location: Withrow Springs State Park Keith Ham Pavillion Huntsville, AR

Save the for the 22nd Annual War Eagle Appreciation Day! War Eagle Appreciation day will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 11 am – 1 pm at the Withrow Springs State Park’s Keith Ham Pavilion in Huntsville. This free event will feature live music, a complimentary lunch, and family-friendly activities. Activities will feature local organizations with educational and interactive activities focused on water, wildlife, history, tourism, and more.

Let’s celebrate all things War Eagle Creek and War Eagle Creek watershed together! This beautiful area accounts for 1/3rd of all water entering Beaver Lake–the drinking water source for 1 in 5 Arkansans.

June 17-18 – Forest, Water & People Workshop with Arkansas Forestry Association and Beaver Watershed Alliance

When: June 17-18 from 10am-4pm

Location: Beaver Water District in Lowell, AR

Workshop Overview: Join us at Beaver Water District in Lowell for an interactive two-day workshop, June 17 – 18 from 10 am – 4 pm, featuring hands-on, NGSS-aligned, place-based lessons from Project Learning Tree’s Forests, Water, & People activity guide. Educators will explore classroom-ready activities that examine how forests and watersheds interact with communities and influence environmental, social, and economic outcomes. The workshop will also include forest site visits and tours of a water treatment facility.
