McKisic Creek/Little Sugar Creek- Bentonville, Arkansas

Before

After

City of Bentonville in partnership with Watershed Conservation Resource Center will conduct an inventory and assess the condition of the riparian, wetland areas, other natural features and streambanks for 5 miles of urban streams in the Ozark Highlands Ecoregion and demonstrate innovative techniques to restore stream channels, wetlands and riparian.

The assessment will focus on McKisic Creek and its tributaries and Little Sugar Creek near its confluence with McKisic in the City. A restoration design for McKisic Creek and Little Sugar Creek in the area of their confluence will be developed to address stream instability and erosion from the impacts of urbanization.
