The Wyandotte Nation had concerns regarding streambank erosion on a portion of Sycamore Creek near the powwow grounds of the Wyandotte. The eroding land has special meaning to the Wyandotte people and also threatening a nearby permanent water quality monitoring station.
The Watershed Conservation Resource Center (WCRC), a leading expert in stream and river restorations, served as the project liaison and contractor for the Wyandotte Nation implementing a streambank restoration project at the affected site. Working with Riverman Engineering, LLC, (RELLC) the WCRC coordinated and worked with RELLC and the Wyandotte Nation during all phases of the restoration project.
